KRISPY KREME R.I.P. (SKIDAWAY AVE)

Digital print / black and white photograph of the remnants of the Krispy Kreme signage at their former Skidaway Avenue location.. This place was a mainstay of this part of Savannah for several decades and it’s sad to see it go.. I’ve developed a recent interest in documenting the buildings - and a city - that is in the midst of change.. This almost reminds me of when graffiti is buffed and the removal of the image, sign, etc looks worse than it did before.. As an artist and proud Savannahian this kind of imagery is visually interesting to me and also documents a moment in time.. Printed on glossy photo paper and packaged with backboard and protective plastic sleeve.. 8.5 x 11 inches
