Clary’s Cafe located at 404 Abercorn Street in downtown Savannah.. Opened in 1903 as a drugstore, Clary’s gained increased popularity after its appearance in John Berendt’s Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and later in Clint Eastwood’s film adaptation of the book.. If you haven’t eaten here hungover or entertained out-of-town guests here - or both at the same time - you probably haven’t been in Savannah long..
